Research internships

Each year Inria takes students – undergraduates or final year students on postgraduate courses – who are working in one of our fields of research on placements. If you are interested in applying, we recommend that you look at the themes our research teams are working on and consult their websites to see what their activities and field of intervention are. After that you can contact the teams that interest you directly.

Conditions

• The length of the internship (usually between 4 and 6 months) and the dates will be formalised in the internship agreement;
• During the internship, you will be part of a research team. You will participate in the team's R&D activities. You will be closely monitored and supported by one of the scientists in the team;
• In some cases, the internship may take place under a temporary work contract and be paid up to the minimum wage.

End-of-course internship (final year of a DUT technical diploma or a bachelor's degree) or mid-course internship

For these internships, which last from 1 to 3 months, different tasks and assignments are given, which vary according to the student's course and level and the host structure. You are advised to contact the research centres or teams directly. Internships lasting up to 2 months are not necessarily remunerated.
