The digital revolution is having an impact on the world of sport, whether in terms of practice (amateur or professional), preparation and coaching, broadcasting and communication, and so on. Based on a variety of technologies - such as on-board sensors, connected objects, virtual reality, data analysis and AI, etc. - digital systems are now omnipresent in the world of sport. They are even redefining the relationship between athletes, teams and coaches, and that raises questions. Between ingenious algorithms and the need to regulate change, the perception and reception of these new technical possibilities are both diverse and fascinating.
Students from the Sciences Po Lille and Centrale Lille have looked into these issues and, with the support of the Inria centre at the University of Lille, are organising a morning of conferences on the following topics:
