Research demos, startups, expert talks... Inria is looking forward to seeing you at VivaTech!
The Viva Technology trade show will be held from 22 to 25 May 2024 in Paris at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
At this event, Inria is asserting its place at the heart of ecosystems.
In addition to its own stand, the Institute is demonstrating its significant presence in the European ecosystem, particularly on the Franco-German stand.
Our commitment to local ecosystems is also demonstrated by the inclusion of our start-up projects on the stands of the Carnot network, the Université Paris Saclay, and our industrial partners such as EDF, Orange and the Région Sud.
Future entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to meet the project leaders supported by Inria Startup Studio, our programme dedicated to digital entrepreneurship. The Startup Studio supports the development of projects and encourages their autonomy.
A workshop entitled ‘For an inclusive and safe AI’ will mark the opening of VivaTech. Scheduled for Wednesday 22 May 2024 from 10am to 12pm, this event will be held in Hall 1, immediately after the official VivaTech opening breakfast. On the programme: an introduction by Bruno Sportisse, two round tables and the signing of the partnership between Inria and the LNE. In the presence of Marina Ferrari (to be confirmed), Secretary of State to the Minister for the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, with responsibility for digital technology.

"Can AI help us accelerate the energy transition?”
As machine learning models evolve and artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in society, the energy sector is also taking early steps to leverage this technology. The International Energy Agency reports that AI is already being used in over 50 diverse applications within the energy system, representing a potential market value of $13 billion. This raises crucial questions: from optimizing the integration of renewable energies to forecasting maintenance.
Once around forty start-ups have been awarded the ‘Greentech Innovation’ label, a 10-minute speech will launch the call for joint projects with representatives from Inria (Jacques Sainte-Marie), Cerema and IGN.
