Since 2005, the association of the same name has been organising the biggest event in the high-performance computing (HPC), simulation, Big Data and artificial intelligence (AI) community. This year will be no exception, with stakeholders from France, Europe and elsewhere from the world of HPC/HPDA (high-performance computing / high-performance data analytics) coming together through the Vimeet digital platform.
Inria has been interested in high-performance simulation since the institute was first created. In recent years, Inria has entered into a number of partnerships with manufacturers in this sector, giving rise to start-ups and other projects with their roots in Inria research.
On the schedule
- The plenary session
- Six technical and application-based workshops
One workshop that is not to be missed is the workshop hosted by Philippe Gesnouin, EIT Health and EIT Digital project manager, with assistance from Philippe Moireau, director of scientific research, and Hugo Talbot, coordinator of the SOFA consortium, all of whom are active within Inria, on the theme of “Digital twins in medicine”, on Tuesday 13 October from 2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.
Discover how simulation tools can be used to accurately represent a person’s anatomy and physiology, initially in a generic format, and then by drawing on patient data, in order to develop their digital twin.
- The AI and Simulation Awards Ceremony
The Innovation award will be presented by Jean-Yves Berthou, director of the Inria Saclay - Île-de-France research centre.
- The virtual expo
Inria is the sponsor and official partner of Europa Village, a space set up exclusively for the European HPC ecosystem that is central to the expo.
With a total of 70 stands, your badge will grant you access to the virtual exhibition space, where you will discover the following Inria projects:
- DeFI with Pietro Congedo: a project team focused on formulating, implementing and validating digital solutions geared towards using the available data and computing technology to control experiences, factoring in system uncertainty.
- GAMMA with Frédéric Alauzet: adaptive mesh generation and advanced digital solutions.
- Mmg with Algiane Froehly and Luca Cirrottola: this platform will present open-source applications and libraries (L-GPL) on the subject of tetrahedral and triangular mesh modifications.
- SOFA with Hugo Talbot: a software solution that uses algorithms to model objects, whether rigid or capable of being reshaped, as well as how they interact with each other. Applications in the medical sector.
- PARIETAL with Bertrand Thirion: using low-field MRI to model the structure and the variability of the brain, as well as it how it works.
A virtual forum
Enjoy a fully virtual experience by accessing the Vimeet matchmaking platform from your computer, your tablet or your smartphone. All registered visitors and exhibitors will be able to attend all of the events (the plenary session, round tables, workshops, etc.), with the added benefit of being able to schedule one-to-one meetings with exhibitors in order to speak with them ‘in person’ by video conference.
