Webinar "european artificial intelligence: the progress of Franco-German cooperation"

Date:
6 April 2021
Changed on 22/06/2021
In January 2020, on the first anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Aachen, Inria and the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to carry out joint work in artificial intelligence (AI). The aim is to put the skills of the two entities' researchers at the service of several current problems, particularly in the fields of health, cybersecurity, robotics and industry. On Tuesday 6 April at 7pm, take part in a webinar on "european artificial intelligence and the Inria-DFKI partnership".

A European webinar on 6 April at 7pm

A virtual European café will be organised on Tuesday 6 April at 7pm by the European Movement Alsace-Haut-Rhin, with the participation of the CLAIRE France Office supported by Inria. Emmanuel Vincent, scientific coordinator of this partnership, will talk about the objectives of this rapprochement, the projects carried out jointly by Inria and the DFKI, and the European framework that is being built around a trustworthy and human-centred artificial intelligence.

In particular, you will discover a little more about these two national institutes and the research and innovation projects defined on the basis of a joint roadmap, enriched during joint workshops.

The European dynamic in which the Memorandum of Understanding is embedded will also be presented to you. This protocol is in line with the European logic of collaboration in scientific excellence recommended by the document on artificial intelligence published by the European Commission in February 2020. Moreover, it is part of a strong and common commitment to the European network CLAIRE (Confederation of Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratories in Europe - claire-ai.org) in order to help unite AI research and innovation in Europe and to contribute to "Excellence at all levels of AI - for all of Europe - with a human-centred approach".
